Many of you are having problems with the activity we were doing this week. I'm not sure if its because you haven't used the meters to measure with that much or if you don't understand what Ohm's Law means.
All electrical devices are designed to operate with three things in mind. The electricity's Voltage (think water pressure), Current (think how fast it goes by), and Resistance (how hard it is for electricity to get through a material). In order to operate properly an electrical device is designed so that these three things operate a certain way. If you change one of these three things the device operates differently or doesn't work at all.
Ohm's Law tells you how the three things are related. Voltage (E or V) = Current (I) times Resistance (R). So the Voltage measured in volts = the Current, measured in mA(milliAmps) times the Resistance, measured in kiloOhms.
In the Activity you set up a series circuit and a parallel circuit and you were to measure the Voltage, Current, and Resistance of all three. Then you were to see how accurate you were by plugging in the numbers.
